MUSINGS FROM THE BENCH

This week we have a second set of defensive zone face off plays.

While DZ FO plays are important to your teams exit strategy, the ability to secure the puck on a 50/50 face off or lose is paramount.

Players must learn to win the battle first and then run their routes.

If there is a 50/50 battle on the FO, players must help the centre to win the battle first. So, when the puck is dropped, your team must learn to recognize the situation, secure the puck, then run their routes to ensure a clean exit.

Face Off #1

DZ - Face Off - Reverse to Defense

Face Off #2

DZ - Face Off - D Back - Pass to Net Front W
