This week we have a second set of Small Area Games (SAG).

Small Area Game #1

2 vs 2 NZ Angle Compete

This SAG has a focus on angling and forechecking in open ice.

  1. Xs attack around net with puck.

  2. Os must check up to blueline and then angle attack Xs.

  3. 5 min X offence, 5 min O offence.

Small Area Game #2

2 vs 2 Off Rim SAG

This SAG has a focus on rim collection under pressure.

  1. Small area game played in confined area of end zone 

  2. 2v2 and all reps & new pucks are entered by a rim 

  3. Players must secure puck off the rim and have strong board play to secure possession 

  4. Teams shoot on respective nets 

  5. Switch on whistle (new puck)
